Windsurfing
By Marshall Rader
Cabin 4
In Windsurfing, we sometimes take out boards and play Gladiators, where we stand on the ends of the board so the opponent's board goes flying away. Of coarse, there are days where we actually surf with sails. Matt Silverstein and Paula Wettergreen are amazing teachers, and they are funny, nice, and awesome at teaching windsurfing.
Windsurfing II
by Ramon Calderer
Working Senior
Windsurfing is one of the best activities of the camp because we can get refreshed on hot, non-windy days and on windy days we can practice it well.
Another thing that makes windsurfing a good activity is that we have a good chance to improve and learn our windsurfing skills.
Casino Night
By Andrew McRostie
Cabin 12
Casino night was great. We played cool games like Roulette, Three Card Monty, Cups, Poker, and Black Jack. We used saved bullet shells for betting money. The working senior bouncers, the dim light, and the clothing of the working seniors all made the casino environment. There wasn't just gambling; there were exotic drinks being sold with crazy names. Cabin 16 won the pizza party, but we all had a great time.
HAM radio

Cabin 4
HAM radio is a very fun class. We use short-wave radios to talk to people all over the world. Tom, the teacher, teaches us how to operate the equipment. Wouldn't you get a kick from talking to people from Japan? Andrew McRostie says his favorite part of HAM radio was when he started picking up BBC (British Broadcasting Company), and he thought it was Egyptians because of the accent. Greg's favorite part was tuning to frequencies and finding people talking accidentally. We got to find things on the radio that Tom told us to find; everyone enjoyed it. Another cool thing we did in HAM radio was looking at the sun with a special telescope. We were counting sunspots. When there are a lot of sunspots you can talk a greater distance on a short-wave radio. I would say that everything in this class is awesome. I took it twice, and I loved it both times, and I look forward to doing HAM radio in the future, and I suggest you do to.
