Camp Shohola Sleepaway Camp
Sleepaway camp has many benefits and offers wonderful opportunities for growth during the summertime experience. Camp Shohola has been in existence since 1943 and offers campers and their parents' peace of mind and excellence during their sleepaway camp experience. This beautiful camp is a third-generation family-owned boys summer camp with over 67 years of experience. Camp Shohola is accredited through the American Camp Association and offers a variety of specialty programs for boys including sports, arts, technology, and outdoor adventure. Our focus is to provide an unforgettable camp experience for each camper through which they can develop new levels of self-esteem and acquire new skills.
We offer a classic sleepaway camp feel with the benefits of modern programs. This beautiful camp is located on Lake Greeley in the Pocono Mountains of PA. Each camper enjoys swimming as well as a variety of activities provided through their fully elective program. Ten preselected activities are enjoyed daily by each camper in addition to evening activities and special all-camp activities. The programs offered by Shohola sleepaway camp include: water sports, land sports, equestrian, arts, outdoor adventure and comm-tech.
The preselected activities schedule is custom tailored for each child. The outdoor adventure program includes selection options such as: rock-climbing, backpacking and hiking. The comm-tech program is for technology oriented boys and includes programs such as computer programming, digital photography, robotics and web design. The arts program includes a selection of activities including painting, drawing, music and photography. The land sports program includes basketball, archery, baseball and just about every other sport under the sun; this program also offers the option for weekly competition with other camps for boys who are so inclinced. The equestrian program offers activity choices such as animal care lessons, horseback riding and potential competitions.
