Another Great Summer At Overnight Camp

Can you believe that the summer is already over?! Here at Camp Shohola, we had our last day of overnight camp for the summer a little over a week ago. And we can’t lie, this summer was probably the best and most fun yet! Every single day at our overnight camp near New York was filled with new experiences and endless hours of fun and excitement. With that being said, we thought this would be the perfect time to give parents a quick recap of what the summer consisted of for our campers!

Every single day was different at Camp Shohola, but we did follow a schedule. A typical day at overnight camp included a 7:30 wake up, breakfast, lunch, dinner, five different activity periods, free time or general swim, an opportunity to go to the camp store, and more! Most of the campers say the favorite part of their day was the activity periods. Here at Camp Shohola, we offer a variety of overnight camp activities for campers to choose from. We have six different departments: land sports, water sports, outdoor adventures, equestrian, communication & technology, and the arts. To ensure that campers had enough opportunities to try out various activities, we created “A Days” and “B Days”. This allowed campers to participate in a total of ten different activities over the course of the summer. These activities kept your child active, both mentally and physically, every day over the summer. Campers also learned various skills, tips, and life lessons at overnight camp. Children gained independence, confidence, and communication skills that they probably wouldn’t have acquired anywhere other than overnight camp! At Camp Shohola, we filled every day with endless hours of fun, learning, and excitement. We hope that your child had as much fun as we did and is counting down the days until they come back next summer!
