How crazy is it that another summer is just about over at Camp Shohola?! And we can honestly say that this summer at our boys camp near Connecticut was one of the best yet! From color war to competing against our sister camp, Camp Netimus, we had so much fun this summer. With that being said, we thought we would give parents a quick rundown of what summer consisted of for our campers. Keep on reading to learn all of the fun things that happens at Camp Shohola during the summer!

We’re going to have to agree with our campers and say that the best part of Camp Shohola is all of the boys camp activities that we offer. Where else can a camper choose ten different activities to participate in? There is something for everyone at Camp Shohola, there are a variety of land sports, water sports, outdoor adventures, equestrian, communication & technology, and art activities to choose from. A typical day at boys camp consists of five different activities spread out throughout the day (we have “A” and “B” days, giving campers more opportunities to try more), meals and snack periods, rest periods, and evening activities right before lights out. Days at boys camp are busy and filled with fun. Every day is different and a new opportunity to learn some skills or meet new people. Throughout the summer, Camp Shohola offers some off campus trips that campers can go on. These include rafting on the Youghiogheny and Lehigh Rivers, canoeing and kayaking on the Lackawaxen and Delaware Rivers, hiking and rock climbing trips to New York, New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania, excursions to historical sites, and more! There are plenty of chances for campers to try something new and go on an adventure while away at boys camp for the summer. Basically, sending your son to Camp Shohola guarantees them a safe and exciting summer filled with fun and new memories!
